These deliciously rare Swarovski stones are absolutely elegant! They’re rivoli stones in a slightly rounded square shape that some people call “squarevoli’s”. The backside is slightly domed, with gold foil for extra sparkle.
These large 18mm rhinestones do not have holes. The cut is article 4650, and the color is vitrail medium, which is a golden amber base with flashes of olive, fuschia and purple, depending on how the light hits it. I’ve photographed these stones in a variety of lighting conditions in an effort to give a good sense of color. These are first quality stones
I’ve heard some people say that this style is from the mid 60’s -70’s, while others say 70’s – 80’s. In either case, they’re old and unusual stones. They show typical wear for stones of this age (some minor foil flaking, and/or chipping around the edges) which is visible in these highly magnified photos.
