Description
These 1940’s-1950’s vintage Japanese glass cabochons feature a beautiful floral design on an opaque lapis blue base. The pressed glass cabs almost look carved, and they have random holes where you could stitch a bead through or maybe even set a rhinestone into.
MATERIALS, MEASUREMENTS & QUANTITIES
✭ Material = glass
✭ Size = 10×14 mm oval
✭ Style = cabochon with flat back
✭ Quantity = 6 stones
This a lot of 6 vintage faux lapis glass cabochons with unfoiled flat backs. They are great for gluing, mounting or bezeling; they’re not beads, so they do not have holes. They’re uncirculated or “new old stock” (NOS) cabs, made in Japan for the costume jewelry trade.
Some of the photos make them appear scratched, but they’re not. These vintage stones are in great condition, but it’s always challenging to photograph dark cabs; the highly magnified pictures show every speck of dust – even the ones that aren’t visible to the naked eye.
