Description
These antique Bohemian glass nailhead beads are deep black with an iris finish that lends flashes of blue and violet when the light hits. These beads have faceted tops and flat backs, with a single hole. They measure about 6.5 – 7mm each.

These beads were produced between the late 1800’s and early 1900’s. They were used predominantly by the garment industry, as their flat backs make them excellent for embellishing clothing and other fabrics. They were also used as jewelry components, strung with thread or wire.
