Description
These antique Bohemian glass nailhead sew on beads are black with a dark green iris finish that lends flashes of olive green, blue and amber, depending on the light. The top side is faceted, and each bead measures approximately 4mm round, with a single hole.
MATERIALS, MEASUREMENTS & QUANTITIES
✭ Material = glass
✭ Size = 4 mm
✭ Quantity = 50 beads
These beads were produced between 1865 – 1915. They were used predominantly by the garment industry, as their flat backs make them excellent for embellishing clothing and other fabrics. They were also used as jewelry components, strung with thread or wire.
Some of the photos show multiple hanks, since this is a great way to convey color and cut. Again, this listing is for ONE strand, with about 50 of these uncommon old beads. They are ideal for jewelry design, bead embroidery, crazy quilting, scrapbooking, mixed media art and anything else your creative heart desires 🙂
