These antique Italian glass seed beads have an opaque orange color.
Color: Opaque Orange
Quantity: 10 grams or 1 ounce
These old Murano glass seed beads were manufactured between the late 1800’s and the 1920’s by the Societa Veneziana Conterie . This was a consortium of 16 independent Venetian bead makers that joined together from 1898-1992. Because these are hand crafted beads, made very long ago, they show greater variance in size and shape than contemporary beads.
The color is opaque orange. It is the second color from the left in the photo with a rainbow of colors.
They are a size 9/0, which is a larger seed bead. When strung, there are about 13-15 beads per inch. The average diameter is around 2.65 mm.
You can choose a 10 gram bag or 1 ounce bag. The last photo shows a 1 ounce bag of beads next to a 10 gram bag of beads for comparison.
These pictures have been magnified to give a good sense of color and shape. See the photos with coins and ruler for scale. While I’ve tried very hard to describe and capture the colors accurately, you should keep in mind that there are color variances from one computer monitor to the next. Please pay attention to the written color description as well as the photos.
