These vintage glass stones were made long ago for the costume jewelry trade. I’m not sure how long ago — most of my vintage cabs are from the 1950’s-1970’s, but I think these guys are a bit older. They’re reverse painted intaglio cabochons with a black base and metallic brass colored detailing. The image features a drunk fellow propping himself up against a lamp post.
These quirky and unique stones do show more wear than most of my stock. As you can see in the photo, the black is flaking here and there on a few of the stones. You can touch them up with some acrylic paint, or leave it as is for a bit of character.
They measure about 25 x 25mm, and have a pillowed square shape.
