These old Italian glass seed beads were manufactured between the late 1800’s and the 1920’s by the Societa Veneziana Conterie. Because hand crafted beads were made so long ago, they show greater variance in size and shape than contemporary beads.
The color is beautiful transparent plum purple.

You’ll receive 10 grams of these beautiful old beads. They’re a size 11/0, which is probably one of the most commonly used sizes. Italian seed beads tend to run a tad smaller than Czech or Japanese beads of the same size. When strung, there are about 17-20 beads per inch.
