These old raw brass settings were made for 18×25 mm stones. They’re most likely from the 1970’s or 80’s, and the unfinished brass has taken on a gorgeous gingerbread patina over time.
MATERIALS, MEASUREMENTS & QUANTITIES
✭ Material = brass
✭ Size = 25x18mm
✭ Quantity = 6 pieces
Each setting measures 25×18 mm and has an open back. A 25×18 mm calibrated cabochon will fit snugly into the setting, and the 4 prongs can be bent down to hold the stone in place. The prongs have a fancy “claw” or “peaked” shape at each tip.
As you can see from the photos, these settings do not have loops or rings. They should be sautered, glued, or wire wrapped. The aged brass can be painted, patina’d and/or sealed.
This listing is for the settings only, the stones are sold separately.
